Throughout the pandemic, the Strathcona Regional District has followed guidelines and orders as directed by the Provincial Health Office, and guidance with program or sport specific standards set by the British Columbia Recreation and Parks Association (BCRPA), viaSport, and other sport governing bodies. Going forward, the Strathcona Regional District will continue to follow a similarly informed approach.
An SRD communicable disease prevention plan, office protocols and safety plans are in place to limit and reduce the spread of COVID-19. These plans provide authorization for the implementation of new processes and operational changes in order to provide important services safely.
The most important thing BC residents aged 12 and older can do to help our communities and our lives to get back to normal is get vaccinated. Anyone 12 and over who hasn’t yet had a first dose can now walk in to any of the Island Health mass immunization clinics.
